The Lagos State University has postponed its convocation till further notice.
It first postponed the event as a result of the COVID – 19 pandemic, with a plan to do a virtual convocation.
Speaking on the latest development, the Coordinator of the Centre for Information, Press and Public Relations, Ademola Adekoya, said in a statement that the postponement was in view of the unrest in Lagos and the country.
Part of the statement reads, “The management, at a meeting held with deans of faculties on Tuesday, 27th October, 2020, decided that the forthcoming 24th convocation ceremonies of the university, earlier rescheduled to hold between Friday, 30th October and Friday, 6th November, 2020, be postponed till further notice.
“The postponement is in view of the recent happenings in the state and the country. A new date would be communicated in due course,” the statement noted.
